I visited a very cozy cafe and on the wall was a collection of coffee mugs. Coffee mugs are very personal! There’s always a favorite… well, this restaurant allows customers to leave a mug as a part of their coffee club.
This is an excellent way to build the bond between customer and business. They can’t help but feel a part of the restaurant, their mug is there.
Look at the photo! You can see there are teachers, military, and sports fans that all joined the restaurant’s club.
Imagine what would happen if you had the customer email address and noticed that someone hadn’t been in for a while… their mug could email them!
This is a great way to build loyalty!

You might not be able to store mugs, but how about with photos on your Facebook page… Ask customers to send in photos using your product, then go one step further and create a scrapbook of the posts in your store. It will make a great conversation piece when they come into visit!
