Today. Fake it until you make it. There are times that when you are promoting yourself online that you feel odd, strange, and even insecure. But when you are creating your subject matter expert status you need to use today’s inspiration as your guide.
If you are getting paid, you are an expert.
It doesn’t matter what you are doing, if you are receiving money in exchange for your services you are the expert in that relationship. It could be a product you create yourself or a service you provide, someone that doesn’t have that product or service wants it and you have it… therefore, you are the expert.
When you decide to believe that you are an expert my Monday topic of Credibility will become easy! But until then, let’s just fake it.
Here’s the deal, you need to own you corner of the web. The reason you need to spend time on this is because building trust is vital to your relationship bonding within the Infinity Marketing Machine. When you create and send your content via an email newsletter, the people reading it want to know that you are truthful and knowledgeable.
Whether it’s acquiring new skills and education or achieving honors, you must promote these on your website. If you feel odd doing this, put yourself into your customer’s shoes and think… do you like looking on a website and seeing honors/awards skills/education of the people that work there? Sure you do! Therefore, stop being shy and promote yourself!
