I was reading a blog post the other day about, “How to Become a Millionaire in 5 Years or Less.”

The title intrigued me.  And to my surprise it did not say “win the lottery” – so what did it say?

It was surprising that it didn’t say the traditional “start a business”, “save money”, etc.  That is what I expected.

What the article focused on were things such as, find a good mentor, create a vision of wealth, find clarity, focus on results instead of habits…but the one thing that caught my attention causing me to read the entire article, a couple times was…

Develop a 90 day process to measure the past and multiply the future.  This is very interesting.  I like to goal set/achieve… but the future pace is quite a concept.

Start by looking over the past quarter at your “wins” – what are the big accomplishments?  Once you establish this, HOW did they come together?

For example, if you had an increase in income… HOW did it happen…. meaning what widget sold and then HOW did you sell it?  Were you making more offers…

This may seem elementary but the goal to a million in the article mindset was to then take that previous success, focus on it and do it again.  Seems simple, right?

Why is this important? Because today is our credibility topic and your success and understanding of how you achieve that success will project into all of your areas of business, from a simple conversation with a customer to a blog post you write.

So today, even though it’s not the end of the quarter, review the last 90 days.  Go back to November 17… yep, just before Thanksgiving and write down the answers to the following…

1- What went well for you?
2- What would you identify as the top three wins?
3- What are the take-aways from the wins?
4- What in the last 90 days made you super happy?
5- Where do you need to simply STOP and do something else?

If you want to post in the comments, let’s hear it.  If you’re more comfortable writing your list on your own… that’s great too. But please do this exercise!  If you keep doing the same thing as yesterday, you’ll get yesterday today… but maybe if you target #2, #3 and #5 today you’ll get powerful results.
