Do you remember the episode of Friends where Ross bought a new sofa and he enlists Rachel and Chandler to help move the sofa. The three are trying to get the enormous up the stairs. They are trying to make a corner and Ross is yelling, “pivot. Pivot. PIVOT!”
Well, now is a good time to look at your products and services to see how you can pivot.
I was chatting with an owner of a franchise restaurant on Sunday. He was talking about how business has fallen off due to the virus and he was worried because a big source of his crowd was sports teams and they have suspended games.
Time to listen to Ross.
People still eat, people still want to have someone cook for them, people still want to be treated special.
People just might not want to leave their home…
SO put your effort into the delivery aspect of your business.
OK, now you. It might be time to pivot.
Find your micro niche in your business, the one that will work best in this time of adjustment. Think about how you have served your tribe and then micro niche this… what new service can you focus on OR what existing service can you enhance.
Remember, you are the expert of your business and customers look to you as a leader. They want to continue that relationship, help them make it happen.
