Today’s quote is the heart of what we do here.

Our goal is to create a tribe of people we want to work with… by providing great content on a consistent basis that transforms our customers from “one and done” to “infinity”.

It’s is when they are Infinity Customers that we can live today’s quote.

The moment we know what they need long before they do is when we’ve achieved success in building our tribe…

Let’s take a look at this.

Well, two looks…

I just got done watching a video on YouTube.  It was a suggested video on getting fitted for your first pair of pointe shoes.

I’m not a ballerina.  Although I’ve been on pointe once.  Since I think that’s French, it might be “en pointe” or some other variation… but I’m getting distracted as usual.

My sister danced and studied ballet.  One time I crammed my feet into her shoes, two sizes smaller, to see what pointe was like.  I know, anyone that really studies ballet is cringing now… There are lots of things you need to do before you get to pointe and you can really hurt yourself (so I’ve heard) – but I’m still alive… and my 2 minutes in those shoes probably did more damage to them than me.

BUT

Here’s my pointe (get it) — ahhhhhh… I just watched a 15 minute video on how to fit a pair of pointe shoes.  Why?  OMG… it was fascinating.

This woman had a traditional dance store prior to 2014.  It sold EVERYTHING from tutu’s, leotards, and pointe shoes… to everything else you need.

Then in 2014 she said, boom, we’re done.  All we do is pointe shoes.  We go on site to create a custom fit shoe that is proper…. you can visit their store and that’s it.  Pointe shoes.

From a business perspective it was intriguing.  There is a whole ton of knowledge you need to get a proper shoe.  The length of your achilles, the bend of your arch, the width of your toes… it went on and on.  I never knew so many factors created the fit.

But here’s the deal.  She’s got a tribe.  A tribe of beautiful feet showcased in her shoes.

The care and knowledge she shares in this one video is immense.   While you may be able to buy a pair of shoes after watching… you want the whole package.  You want HER to fit your shoes (or your daughters) – you want to visit that shoppe.  This is an event!

OK. You get my point — showcase your knowledge in a video to build the bond of your tribe.

But I said we’ve got to take two looks at this whole video thing… so what’s the second thing.

OK here’s the second thing… how the heck did YouTube know I would enjoy watching this video?  That’s the creepy thought of the day.  The suggested videos are getting a little too good… I haven’t looked up pointe shoes… yet I just spent 15 minutes watching it.

I do believe that YouTube knows me so well they suggested their product prior to me even knowing I wanted it.

Kinda Creepy!

But I still love this store.

OK – I’m in a sneaky silly mood with today’s post.

But what ever you do… don’t rush into procrastinating!  You’ve got to ease into it.

And this topic makes me wonder if your goal is procrastination… can you actually achieve it?  I mean the act of procrastinating is to put stuff off so if the goal is to put it off, can you actually put it off?

OK wait! I’ve got a point.

I’ve been listening to an amazing book.  It’s about achieving any goal you have and creating miracles in your life… real, authentic, miracles.

So how the heck do you do that — when this author has twisted my thinking.  The person you become by creating the goal and moving toward achieving the goal is as important maybe even more important that actually achieving the goal.

The author also goes on to say that you must focus your energy on ONE goal. Which is much like my most recent post about focusing on “one kick” – when you spread yourself too thin you never achieve any goal – you just get “stuff” done.

So back to the original quote… can you actually achieve the goal of procrastination?  Yeah, I’m not sure… but if you’re living your best life and procrastinating is the goal, just work toward it, be the best procrastinator you can be and whether you actually achieve procrastination you’ll transform your life into being a good procrastinator, start now!  Don’t put it off.

Today is kind of a crazy quote, right?  If you learn one kick and do it really well, you’ll make more progress than spreading yourself so think with 10,000 “known” kicks.

How true!

When you’re developing your social media plans make sure to keep the “one kick rule” in mind.

Sure, it’s fun to tell people you’ve got a blog, Instagram, Facebook, email, etc… but if you don’t post anything for months on Facebook or send an email every once in a while, it’s the equivalent of 10,000 kicks.

It’s better to have that specialized one kick and stick with it!

Email is amazing for this because while you might have your Facebook page to allow new people to find you, the real magic happens when you focus on email.

Your email is very personal and gives you the opportunity to collect names in one group and work with them exclusively.  This is how to create that tribe.

One kick.

You get a tribe, a way to communicate, and you have great results.

When you mix in your consistency your kick becomes super strong!

Take the opportunity to quick learning new kicks and just focus on that one or two that you can dominate.

Create your own tribe and email to keep them strong and focused!

What is Price?  Normally if you think of a price it’s that number written on a sticker that tells you how many dollars you need to spend to take home a product.

You walk into the boutique and see an amazing lamp on the shelf.  It’s gold and has sparkle blue rhinestones around the shade and the cutest drawstring to pull instead of an on/off switch.   And hanging next to the drawstring is a tag that reads $9.95

You immediately buy it and go home.

The lamp is plugged in and you pull the drawstring annnnnnd nothing.  You spent 9.95 for nothing.  The lamp is adorable.  It brings you a little joy to see it, but you wanted it for your desk and now it’s just clutter.  You still can’t see your paperwork. That does not bring you joy.

What’s the value of your $9.95?  Not much.

So what is price?  It’s the exchange.  It’s what you give with the expectation of receiving some joy.

Your customers GIVE you their email with the expectation of receiving joy.

That brings me to our next questions… what is joy? That’s the value they receive. This value can be simple happiness from a cute puppy video… to super joy at a BOGO offer!  The email that you send is magic.

When you adjust your thinking from “ugh I have to send an email” to “I’m creating value” you’ll better understand the relationship you’re creating.

Although you are not receiving money for your “lamp” you do need to make sure that when the drawstring is pulled it lights up!  You must share value with your tribe.  This is the only way you can bond them and transform from “one and done” into Infinity!

The better your customers feel about the value they receive the more likely they are to trust you when you offer them an item for sale.  Value Matters!

Everyone wants to be liked.  Admit it.  If given the choice between being liked and being not liked, you’d choose liked.

But if you want to change the world you cannot please everyone.

It’s impossible.

You may think, but I don’t want to change the world – I just want to have a successful business or product.  Well… what is the ramification of a successful business or product?  It will change YOUR world.

The sad thing is… as you try to change YOUR world you’ll come across people, and sometimes people close to you, that will dislike the change in you.  Most of the time its because they don’t want to change.

I remember hearing the example, it’s like a circle does some self-improvement and becomes a square.  The square can no longer hang out with the circles… because, well, it’s a square.  So the circles that didn’t transform are jealous.  Well… you need to keep going but don’t forget your “circle-ness” – instead of becoming a square and forgetting your past, become a sphere or a cylinder.  Transform…

Just remember. You need to keep going.  You’ve got goals, dreams, and a plan.  Change the world, your tribe needs an amazing leader.
