Our goal in creating an Infinity Marketing Machine is to transform your customers from “one and done” into “Infinity” customers.

While you might have some customers that love your business.  Love it so much they are your strongest advocates.  They show this by “liking” your posts on Facebook, etc.

But what else do they do?

Do they share your posts, do they pass along your “friends and family” emails, do they refer people to you?

How much trust does it take to share a post?  Not as much as to provide a referral!

When you get your customers buying from you AND then they’re willing to tell a friend to also do business with you, that’s a big deal.  The reason it’s a big deal is because it’s their PERSONAL REPUTATION on the line… for you!

This is the ultimate trust.

How do you get this type of trust?  You build a relationship through consistent interaction.  The interactions are not necessarily face to face – they can be letters, phone calls, and even social media.

But your ability to communicate with your customers and stay in touch means a great deal to your customers.  It shows you are interested in them.

Just like your personal friendships, when you show interest you build trust. It’s the same concept in your business.  However, when you build this trust in business you get the bonus of more sales!  That’s why it’s important to maintain a consistent content schedule with your customers to keep them connected to you and to help you transform a group of followers into a loyal tribe!

I have tested this and found great success with our once a week eNewsletter.  It’s a simple one page flier that contains the weekend happenings around our lake.  In fact, I had someone mention it today! He said, “I love it… but my wife prints it out for me…. I can’t figure out the computer thing.”

Crazy… we’ve built a loyal bond via email with someone that can’t use a computer!

Yesterday was fun, we had a nice conversation about how to treat your followers as a group and at the same time treat them as individuals.

Well today we’re looking at the word “treat”. How do you treat them?

Treating is not just the info you provide to your followers.  That’s super important, but it’s how you provide it.

Have you ever had a friend that says they’ll call… and they don’t?  Frustrating, right?

How about if you went out on a date… it was fun.  Then the next day you’re asked out again… maybe some flowers arrive… you go out again… then nothing.  No phone call, no text… tick tock tick tock – NOTHING!

How do you feel?

Well… how are you “treating” your followers?  Remember you are the vibe behind your tribe.  If your vibe is fun or inspirational… it might also be inconsistent or sporadic.

You don’t want to be the person that disappears on your followers!  You need to maintain a consistent schedule.  This is super important to the success of your Infinity Marketing Machine.

Message is one aspect, but your reliability in creating the message is the other.  Be consistent and don’t ditch your followers!

Episode #174 – How Two Simple Words Will Get You Social Marketing Results

Ideas plus action equals reality.   It seems like a simple phrase.  But it’s not.

Ask yourself, what are you waiting for? Make your actions a reality.   However… you’re already doing this.  If you look at your life on a daily basis you are taking actions and making reality happen.

The question then becomes, “is this the reality you want?”  That’s where the idea portion of the equation comes into play.

Some might say that action is the most important part of the equation, while others argue that ideas are… but you’ve got to admit, reality happens anyway.  SO molding the reality you desire happens when you mix the two together.  But you have to have ideas and plans.

If your reality is that sales are doing well and your business is stable.  But you’d like to increase those sales… then, “increase sales” is an idea.  However, if you do nothing you will not increase but simply sustain the sales.

You’ve got to have both!

It’s like when I say, “Consistency + Content + Customers = Cash” to describe how social marketing works most effectively.  You obviously need customers to get cash, but when you mix in consistent content that they want, wow… you’ll skyrocket your results.

Remember when I say skyrocket, I’m in the realistic skyrocket zone.  Compare yourself to yourself.  Keep monthly sales results in a chart and watch for improvement.  Also watch for intangible results which are in person metions of “oh yeah, I saw that on your Facebook” or “that video really helped me understand your business”.  Consistent content builds community and a sense of belonging among your customers.  That sense of belonging is critical in our “newly” disconnected society.  More than ever, people want to feel a part of something, why not make it a part of your business!  Hit follow on my blog and you’ll learn more with each post. 🙂
