It’s one thing to understand the concept… it’s another to do the work.   For example, I understand the concept of doing a back flip on the balance beam.  I can watch YouTube videos for a step-by-step instruction on how to successfully complete a back flip on the beam.

But Guess What?

That does NOT mean I can do a back flip on the beam.

It does mean that I have a better appreciation when I watch gymnastic competitions.

SOOOOOO how about you?

Do you understand the concept of the Infinity Marketing Machine?  You build a tribe of people that “know, like, and trust you”.  You create great content they want and you deliver it to them consistently.

It’s that simple!

OR is it… yes it’s simple… but it’s not easy.

You need to put in the work!  It takes time and effort to crank up the machine and even more time and dedication to keep the machine running.

I love today’s quote – discipline and consistency are the two basic principles of making your Infinity Marketing Machine work!

Today – focus on your discipline.  Make a commitment to yourself to provide that content regularly and it will pay off!  You will create a tribe that wants to hang around with you and that’s when the real magic happens.

If you’re worried about mastering tomorrow, here’s a clue – you won’t.  You can’t master tomorrow because it’s tomorrow.  The only thing you can do is master today and then repeat.

Work in the present.  Be Present.  And Repeat.

What does this have to do with your Infinity Marketing Machine?

You do not have to master the entire Infinity Marketing Machine, today… but you do need to put 100% effort into it today.

Just like I mentioned above you can’t master tomorrow… you can’t master your Infinity Marketing Machine tomorrow… you’ve got to do it today.

If you’re working on a post to drive traffic to your freemium…. do it with 100% effort – master it.

If you’re working on creating the freemium… do it with 100% effort… master it.

If you’re sending that email — press send with all the confidence that your message is going to bond the tribe to you.

There are lots of moving parts to the Infinity Marketing Machine.  It’s a constant work in progress.  As with anything though, you’ve got to focus on today and give it 100% of everything you’ve got.

The ability to transform your customers from “one and done” to “infinity” happens everyday… it’s not something you perfect tomorrow, the perfection comes today.

And then you repeat. repeat. repeat.

So today – get out there and do one thing that helps bond you to your tribe.  And then repeat!

If you’re dumbfounded by how social media works – stop trying to figure it out. You are focusing on something that doesn’t matter.

It doesn’t enhance the bottom line.

WHAAAAAT?

What is the freaking purpose of social media?  To be social.  It’s the personality of your business.

So if you’re trying to “convert” your social media – that’s silly.  It’s like trying to convert your personality.

You need to focus on what makes you money…

It’s that simple.

Selling.  Selling makes you money.

SO, now what are you going to sell?  STUFF.

But it’s a little more than that… it’s stuff that your tribe wants.

AND that’s even a little misleading – you need a tribe.

Is the tribe based on social media… kinda.

Your tribe is the group of customers you enjoy working with and the ones you are working hard to convert from “one and done” to “infinity” these are the people you show attention to…

Sure, you can do this on social media – but when you do this you are growing your “tribe” on a platform you don’t own.  You don’t own Facebook or YouTube or Instagram… so when you create an entire following you’re at risk of the rules changing and losing access to all that hard work.

YES.  You want to use social – but you do not want to depend on it.

It’s better business to grow your tribe via email because you control that list!  You keep all of the email addresses, similar to a phone number, and you can contact them consistently as you desire.

You contact them over and over and over.

This contact includes offering “stuff” you want to sell.

Since you already know HOW to sell and you know WHAT to sell — this is the genius part of the Infinity Marketing Machine, you create the WHO to sell to… and unlike a social platform, you control the actual asset which is the list!

If it makes you feel better… all of your hard work is creating an actual asset!

Start attracting customers that want to hear from you via email.

Repeat.

Send content they want to receive.

Repeat.

The fun part of creating your Infinity Marketing Machine is that you can create a group of people that are drawn together for a common interest.

Providing information and helping them discover the best of what you do.  For example, I host boating information and it’s fun to share all of the fun of what there is to do in our area.

This gives us the opportunity to sell things to a group that knows, likes, and trusts us.

But there’s another benefit… it helps us understand what they like and don’t like.  Because you are providing information to them and get an interactive response… they like it or share it or even comment.

This is helpful information!

Instead of buying a product and placing an ad… you can talk about a new trend, watch your engagement, and if positive provide your product!

But… here’s the catch… customers needs are changing faster and faster.  The greatest benefit to creating your own following is that you have a better opportunity to discover these changes.

A couple years ago I bought a cool new product – a large folding water mat.  It was fantastic, flew off the shelves.  This year, I reordered… omg… they did not sell well. I needed to get very creative and I developed an offer to promote our mid-season discount for the boat club… join our boat club and receive a watermat!

This worked well.  Here’s the deal… I would not have had the opportunity to sell these mats quickly if I did not have a tribe!

Building a tribe makes a difference.

Today we’re looking at the 4th “C” of the Infinity Marketing Machine, Customers.  The concept of customers is easy.  You have people that buy stuff from you.

But… the Infinity Marketing Machine as a part of Tribeology switches your thinking from “one and done” to “infinity”.  This means you want to keep your customers around for a while.

AND this brings me to Newton.  He asked Why.  With a bunch of apples on the ground, he wanted to know why.

Don’t you?  (I’m not a real science type gal so in terms of apple… yeah, I’m part of the millions)

BUT

When it comes to customers… heck yeah!  I want to know WHY.

Why do they stick around and why is it important… I can share with you the magic of creating a tribe… but if you don’t believe in WHY it doesn’t matter.

Let’s explore why on customers.

Most likely you’re tired of spending $$$$$$ on Facebook.  You’ve optimized, tweaked, and studied your numbers, photos, and words for your ads, but your stuck.

Here’s why… they don’t think you give a poo what happens to them once they click “yes” to your ad!  Cold truth… but WHY should they stick around?

Now, compare that to all of the work and effort you must do to build a tribe.  You think about what they find useful, you provide it for them consistently, and you position yourself as an industry leader… then they stay.

SO we have two why’s.  The first Why is why do customers stay… and the second why is why you want them to stay.

They stay because you want them to stay.

As soon as you embrace this… then you can become the vibe behind the tribe.  Believe it or not… you are giving off a vibe.  If your vibe is “I don’t care if they stay” they won’t.  If you give off a vibe that “This is the coolest place to spend time and money” they’ll stay.

The choice is yours.

Welcome to Monday!  We’re starting the week with us.

I know… you’re thinking, “she’s way too happy for a Monday morning” — well you’re right!  Time to get up and think positive thoughts about ourselves.

It’s time to promote yourself.

This is a very important skill to learn and practice because you need to get the word out about YOU.  The reason behind this is to build credibility online.

If you had a customer in front of you they would be able to ask questions and gauge your honesty by your answers, not just what you say… but how you say it.

Online, you need to build your Subject Matter Expertise.  This is the magic that is you… meaning 3rd party things that help tell your story.  For example, your educational training, this could be a degree or certificate.  Both are earned from a 3rd party institution.

You could include newspaper or magazine articles that show your credibility.  Again, written by a source, other than you, helps to tell your story.  Here’s a story about how I’ve implemented the Infinity Marketing Machine at our family marina… cool, eh?  I like to think that when you read it, it adds to my social proof!

Awards are a great source of 3rd party proof, too.  Show the photo of you on stage or the trophy you won.  These are all helpful things to show a total story about you and your excellence.

Remember, just like today’s inspiration state, excellence is not being best, it’s doing the best.  HOWEVER, to do your best… sometimes you need to prove how you are the best and that comes from boasting your Subject Matter Expertise.
