TribeologyBlog.com – Episode #696 – When You are Stuck, Stop and Look Around.

Quote: One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.― Henry Miller

Wednesday: Midweek Motivation

Have you ever had that feeling you are running in place and just not getting anywhere?  OMG that has been my last week!

I’ve accomplished a lot of THINGS… but the problem is, right now…it feels like tasks to check off on a list.

Ever felt like that?

I guess today’s quote leads can lead us to a different perspective… we can have all the checklists in the world, but we also need to learn to see things as a journey.

Its not that we’re trying to get somewhere but we are on a path and growing each day.

So when you feel stuck, running in place, and not getting anywhere, pause and soak it all in because you still need to enjoy all that life offers.  And maybe, just maybe, the reason you feel stuck is because you’re SUPPOSE to recognize the life around you, otherwise you would be moving…

Right?!?!

TribeologyBlog.com – Episode 695 – Don’t Stop!

Quote: “Information is the key to transformation”- SAdeyemi

Tuesday: Content and Consistency

Do you appreciate when others help you?  Probably.  I’m sure there are people that help, but it actually comes out as “help”.

But what about helping other people… why do you do it?  Does it make you feel good or does it give you status?

Both answers are appropriate.

This is what you need to think about as you provide content for your customers.  First think about the feeling you get from helping someone…Next think about how it feels when you are helped.

This is just a simple trick I use when I don’t “feel” like creating content.

OH YES.

There are times I don’t feel like creating content… and guess what, that means there days I don’t want to write this blog.  Crazy, I know!  But I still do it.

Why?

Because it’s important to you.

You just took time to read what I had to say.  I like knowing that this small tip might help you when you create content… because creating content is important.

But you need to create this content consistently.  If you “forget” a day or couple days… week… soon you stop.

When you stop all the hard work you did up until today QUICKLY disappears.  People find someone else to become their “go to” source.  This is why it’s very important to write, film, or record.

You must create that content – that means get back to your basics.

Remember why you like helping people AND remember how it feels to be helped!

TribeologyBlog.com – Episode 685 – When Is ONE Sale Super Exciting?

Quote: “Having 1 is better than having 0”

Thursday: Infinity Customer

Where do you start?

The Infinity Marketing Machine is a pretty incredible tool.  It allows you to set your marketing in a way that you can guarantee some standard follow up.

But where do you start?

It’s great that a customer has an inquiry but how do you take care of that customer and plan for more at the same time work with those you have.

Well… that’s exactly it!  And it’s frustrating.

I’ve done this and I remember the insanity that it was to set up my machine.  But that’s exactly how I did it.

I focused on my current, right in front of me person first.  Why?   Well, I just spent a lot of money to get them… think about it.  They’re looking for something you offer and they are looking at you because you did some sort of advertising to get them… So capture them.

Next… I’d start getting potential customers under control by automating your processes.

As you finish up your one system you’re running a dual system with the second.  AND it’s hard.  I’m not going to lie to you – it takes effort.  There’s a point when you feel like giving in because it will be easier to just stop the new system.

But Don’t.

Keep going – you’ll be amazed that you did!  It really is worth the effort.  You will save time, money, and serve your customers at a higher level.

The reason I say that you need to keep going is because I remember the process AND I just went though a second cumbersome process of learning an entirely new automation process… and I did want to give up.

I wanted to give up really really bad.

But yesterday I sold ONE thing — that’s it… just one magical little product.  BUT the actual automated process worked and the hundreds of hours I put into the front end were SOOOOOOOOOO worth it on the back end.

Just one little sale and dang it… it is extremely exciting.

Just one.

But you know what I can do next?… double my sales!

hahahaha!

TribeologyBlog.com – Episode 630 – Keep Going… It’s a Great Way to Learn Patience.

Quote “Delay Is Not Defeat…”

Wednesday: Midweek Motivation

Ahhhh the ultimate test of patience is understanding that Delay is not Defeat.  Often I have to remind myself of this small, quick, little, phrase when things just don’t seem to be moving fast enough!

You know those days… the days you feel like the cartoon character running from the anvil that’s about to hit you in the head but you’re stuck running in place.

OH this is how I felt yesterday.

I was trying to get in contact with our tech support for our new website… you see it’s our scheduling site for pontoon rentals.  Well, they updated the pricing but forgot to update the calendar for July.

Therefore, I had people making reservations for July 4 on Wednesday instead of July 4 which is really on Thursday!  UGHHH.  It’s one of those moments you just get to wait.  “patiently”.  There’s nothing you can do… you know you have a problem, you know it will be solved, it’s not a defeat… it’s just a delay.

So hang in there!

ProfitCenterCoach.com – Episode 497 – Making Life Less Suck!

“It’s all about finding the calm in Chaos.” – Donna Karan

Wednesday: Midweek Motivation

Happy Halloween!  I decided not to go with a “spooky” inspiration and instead focus on the chaos… well the calm in the chaos!

That should give you a little insight into my past couple days.  🙂

I launched a new site and it’s been pretty successful.  What I’m doing is “testing” the processes I’m looking forward to teaching all of you.  It’s one thing to teach theory… but I’m not big into that.

I prefer results.

But… the path to results is often messy.  ANNNND that sums up my past week.

When you have that “chicken/egg” feeling and everything seems like it needs to be done before everything else can be done… my advice.  Pick something.  And just go!

SO I did.

It’s sucked… but I have a firm grasp of what it’s like to be the student in my own world and now I can make it “less suck”  hahaha

Stay tuned!

And by all means… KEEP GOING!

ProfitCenterCoach.com – Episode 431 – Goal. Plan. Go… Even If It’s Slow.

“It doesn’t matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop”

Wednesday: Midweek Motivation

Do you have a plan?  It might be about your family, your business, or your health… but I’m just curious if you have a plan.

The reason I ask is because when you’re frustrated it’s often because you haven’t put any sort of goal in motion… a.k.a. a plan.  A plan is just a goal in motion!

And when something is in motion… it’s great!

I’m extremely busy right now, the reason… it’s summer!  We have a lot going on at the marina but I also know this… September will be here in 15 days and that’s when people, believe it or not, start Christmas shopping!  I do several things online that are all about the holiday shopping season… so I have a different goal right now.

It’s a personal goal…

And that’s to get my websites under control and ready to go for winter!  This is difficult with everything I’ve got going on, but, if I make a plan and regardless how “slow” it’s going toward accomplishing my goal… I am making progress and you know what????

I feel good about it!  Regardless of how slow it’s going right now… I am making progress toward my goal.

SO for you today, get yourself a reality check and see what is frustrating you, make your goal and just make a little progress EVERY DAY toward making it a success!

Bite size… slow and steady… but just keep going!

ProfitCenterCoach.com – Day 46 – Plan For Tomorrow

“Let’s do our best today to prepare for our best tomorrow.”

The last two days have been rough.  Nothing really bad happened – but they’ve been not easy.

Have you ever had a computer so “full” that you can no longer open anything?  OH to make it worse, you forgot the master password… Yeah, welcome to my world.

Then I got to work and another computer came down with a virus… OH, and out of no where I was using an adding machine that simply stopped.  This in addition to having a shaky credit card machine… AND our major Weather Screen “not working”

Do electronic machines get together in the middle of the night when everyone is gone and simply make a pact to stop working?   It sure seems like ours did.

So it was nothing bad it was just difficult.

But I truly think it’s important to look at today as your stepping stone to tomorrow.  They are directly related.

Now you’re thinking… well, isn’t that obvious.

I don’t think so.  If people really believed that what you do today affects tomorrow… then everyone would have huge savings accounts, workout everyday, sleep 8 hours a night, and eat veggies instead of candy.

But we don’t.

What does this have to do with my electronic machines stopping… well, I still had to… not just get through the day… but I needed to stay on course for tomorrow.

It’s very easy to get distracted, but each morning I recommend writing a “big three” list so you stay on track, regardless of what happens!

This constant preparation for tomorrow is a fantastic habit to develop.

Try it!

Plan for tomorrow – join my tribe today… haha!  start here
