Do you take action?  I love the reminder of today’s inspiration…the reminder is to not stop at thinking of new ideas…. you must actually do new things!

One of the best places to find innovation with marketing is Disney World.  During your next visit… remember…there’s always a next visit.

On your next visit “Shop the Shops” — I’m not kidding… you don’t have to buy – but I do encourage you to shop.

When you do, oh my… inspiration can hit.. your creativity can sky rocket and believe it or not you will do things.

Look at this clever idea.

This is NOT a pizza or doughnut display…

This is a T shirt display!

That would be creative if the display stopped at atmosphere.  BUT IT DOESN’T!  It’s innovative!  These boxes contain T shirts that have either a Pizza or Doughnut theme in their design!

When you take a T shirt and carry out it’s theme to the packaging — WOW!

When old is new again!  This is a great strategy for bringing in traffic to your site. AND we all need traffic… right?

YES!

This was a post I saw yesterday… it has a video drive of the University of Illinois campus from 1994 on the left and a 2019 view on the right.

I’ve never been to campus – but it’s really fun to watch!  You do get to see how much the campus has changed.  It reminded me of my time in school.

So why do this?

It’s a total tribe builder!  Bring up those memories!  What ever your history is… share it.  Now the one thing I’d tell you to do to enhance your post is to add a link for a product you sell.

Imagine if on this post they linked to a sweatshirt?  With 373 shares at the time I screen shot… WOW lots of opportunities to click and buy!  Right?!?!?!!

Take a stroll down memory lane and make a little money.

Isn’t today’s quote AMAZING?!!!

YES… you must lead with content and relationship building… it’s like our Tuesday and Thursday topics collide!

This means the content you create is a very important foundation to your future success.  When you switch your mindset from selling to relationships it becomes much easier to create the content that once seemed irrelevant.

You work to get your “tasks” done each day – whether it’s shipping, billing, or even cleaning… and then you need to sit down and create some magnificent form of writing and HA it seems like a tortured task vs. important relationship gift.

Your customers need this content to transform to a tribe.  It’s the thing that makes you different.

Why is this important?

Well… do you enjoy receiving email after email where someone is only selling you something?  See… I hate it.  I truly hate opening an email where it’s all about “this on sale” “get it before it’s gone” –

BUT…

I love getting emails that teach me.  When I learn something new I feel closer to the leader. They automatically elevate our relationship to a higher position.

And when you think about it… our relationship is totally one sided!  Sure, I feel something via the message, but the person writing is not writing “to” me… they might be thinking of the “idea” of me… but they are not creating an individual message just for me!

This is what you need to do with your “selling”.  Instead of “bargain, bargain, bargain” write to make each person feel special individually with content they want!  Anticipate their needs, give them a treasure, and make them feel special.

This is how you transform your customers “one and done” from “infinity”

Becoming a Subject Matter Expert takes time and money.  BUT, money won’t buy your credibility.

Think about that.

It’s like taking photos of a hotel room at a 5 star hotel, putting them on your 3 star hotel’s website and rationalizing that, well, it LOOKS like we’re a 5 star hotel.

Great idea, until…

The guest that reserved your room shows up and BOOM they’re mad you lied.  Your hotel loses all credibility.

You tried to buy credibility with “nice” photos — it’s just too bad they were not YOUR photos.

If you had just been true to yourself and sold your best attributes you would have earned credibility.

It’s really that simple.

Time and information earns credibility — but if you short cut it by trying to buy your way it will backfire.

If in doubt, think of the hotel example!

Now that you know this little rule, what do you plan to do about it?  Will you take this information and create a post on Facebook or upload a video on Instagram?

Today’s quote is amazing.  By doing the same thing you can either stay where you are or get you somewhere you want to go!

Is that possible?

Well, if you ride in a car and keep the speed at 55MPH you will get where you want to go!  You keep the speed consistent AND you travel forward.

Let’s think about consistency in the context of content.

IF you want to attract and shape your tribe you must communicate on a regular basis.

Therefore, just like the speed of your car sticking to 55 MPH if you consistently stick to a regular posting schedule, say 3 times a week, you will get to your goal of a tribe that is loyal and follows you.

This is important!

If you take your foot off the gas, let’s say, you stop posting, your may coast for a little while, but ultimately you will stop and your goal of “getting somewhere” like bonding your tribe, goes away, too!

Consistency is the number one, most important thing, you can do AND control to transform customers into a tribe.
